There is one very interesting place, not so far from Wrocław, which is really worth seeing... It's called Colorful lakes and is located in Rudawy Janowickie. To see all lakes You have to go from Wieściszowice to Wielka Kopa Mountain.
The three lakes were formed after the old mine workings. Lakes aren't the biggest one, but are beautifuly placed and what is interesting, all are colored in different ways. The lowest located lake (560 m. n. p. m) is the purple one (from the sulfur and iron). Higher (635m) is the azure lake (from copper compunds) and the last one is Green Pond on 730 m.n.p.m.
The hike itself is really nice and the ability to see these colorful lakes and some small caves on your way make it even more marvellous!

What's more, The Colorful Lakes have now been given a chance to become one of The 7 new wonders of Poland! The voting is still on, so you can vote for them on a website of The National Geographic magazine! Fingers crossed for the lakes:)
